An air-water heat pump draws energy from the outside air. This is done using an outdoor unit, which contains a fan and heat exchanger. That fan in turn causes disturbing noise or noise nuisance. Fortunately, there is a simple solution to solve the noise nuisance. Using carefully placed sandwich panels, a sound barrier was created around the heat pump.

On the one hand, the pump now no longer causes noise pollution for passers-by, but the shielding also makes the finish look aesthetically pleasing.
